SJOBA members have stepped up again to strengthen our purse, ensuring the association remains fully equipped to drive high-value projects for our Alma mater. The call to action is simple: a minimum contribution of ₦10,000 within a week. Half a century after walking through the gates of St. John’s Grammar School, Oke-Atan, Ile-Ife, the 1971/75 set has marked its Golden Jubilee in a remarkably impactful way. To celebrate 50 years since graduation, the set has donated 50 brand new, complete pairs of plastic chairs and lockers to their alma mater. The donation carries a beautiful symmetry, with each pairs of chairs and lockers representing a year of the set’s enduring bond with St. John’s Grammar School and each other. By matching their milestone anniversary with a tangible gift, the 1971/75 set has turned a nostalgic celebration into a lasting investment for the current student body. As the Golden Jubilee celebration continues, these 50 chairs and lockers stand as a living testament to a half-century of loyalty, gratitude, and pride in SJGS Legacy. The leadership of SJOBA and the school Administration received the donation with immense appreciation, praising the 1971/75 set for setting a stellar example of SJOBA’s responsibility.

The incredible momentum of SJOBA’s generosity shows no sign of slowing down! Hot on the heels of our recent infrastructure upgrades, another fantastic set (2005 set) has stepped forward to directly enhance our classrooms by donating 5 brand new set of modern whiteboard and a carton (100 pcs) of marker. This timely contribution marks a major step forward in upgrading our learning spaces, moving away from traditional chalkboards to cleaner, healthier and more interactive teaching tools. The wave of sustainable progress continues! In another incredible demonstration of SJOBA’s dedication and vision, a new solar infrastructure donation has officially been established by 1974/79 set. Following our previous clean energy milestones, this latest contribution to the school’s Library block adds an advanced solar panel array and a high-capacity lithium battery to further boost our power capacity. The donation includes: Installation of a 15kw_h lithium battery to be charged by energy harvested with 18 no 600watts solar panels;  Installation of an adequate Thunder Arrestor; Installation of 2 units of inverter compatible Air conditioners, installation of two fans in the Assembly Hall to replace the bad ones, and Installation of a charge controller for optimum charging of the battery.
