SJOBA 1977 SET (AKA THE PACESETTERS) COMPLETES PHASED INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT WITH 90 SET OF CHAIRS AND LOCKERS DONATION.

In a commendable display of giving back, the 1977 set (aka the pacesetters) has officially completed a multi-year donation project, gifting a total of 90 brand new pairs of plastic chairs and lockers to St. John’s Grammar School. This phased contribution, which spanned three separate delivery cycles between 2023 and 2025, aims to significantly upgrade the classroom experience and provide students with a more comfortable, organized learning environment.

The timeline of the donations highlights their steady commitment:

  • Year 2023: The initial roll out of 30 pairs of chairs and lockers, setting the foundation for the project.
  • Year 2024: A second wave of 30 pairs to keep pace with incoming students.
  • Year 2025: The final installment of 30 pairs, successfully bringing the grand total to 90 complete set.

The number 90 holds deep symbolic value for the 1977 set. When the 1977 set was first admitted to the school in 1973, they began their academic journey as a class of exactly 90 students. Driven by the nostalgic and the meaningful theme “Bring back your chairs and lockers,” the initiative was designed as a symbolic gesture of giving back the exact equivalent of what the school provided them over five decades ago, ensuring the next generation enjoys the same foundation for success.

The entire SJOBA family express deep gratitude to the pacesetters set for this great achievement.
